Tudor “Blue Snowflake” Submariner

SOLD

Description

  1. Up for grabs is a Tudor “Snowflake” Submariner, circa 1976 (84xxxx).  Tudor is better known as the “sister” brand to Rolex – originally formed as a more affordable alternative to that of a Rolex.  In recent years, Tudor has exploded in popularity amongst collectors, with prices often eclipsing those of their Rolex counterparts.  This example is a highly sought-after “Snowflake” Submariner, so-called for the snowflake-like appearance of the hour hand, and with a desirable blue dial and bezel combination.

This Tudor Submariner is in great vintage condition.  The case appears unpolished, with original beveled edges, remaining sharp.  The dial is in excellent condition, with no flaws, chips, etc.  The original tritium lume is present in both hands and dial, aged to a lovely yellow color. The original bezel insert is in good condition, with only the lightest of wear.

Finally, the watch comes on a Rolex folded-link 9315/380 bracelet, and has 11 full links with virtually stretch.  In addition, the watch comes with its original Tudor inner and outer box, and Tudor service card from a prior service.
